Calcareous clay soil, influenced by the Atlantic, those closest to the foot of Sierra de Cantabria at an 600m altitude, and influenced by the Mediterranean vineyards located to the South at 400m close to the Ebro river.

2016 vintage is characterized by a pleasant and mild winter and stable summer, with absence of rain and good temperatures, resulting in slow ripening.
The day-night temperature jumps marked one of the best vintages in Ysios short history with low yields resulting with grapes high in natural acidity and well-ripe tannins.
Manual Harvest in boxes of 10 kg.
Aged for at least 12 months in French barrels.
Colour Attractive and lively ruby red colour with violet rims.
Aroma Ripe red fruit well balanced with the notes of wild berries and black fruit, along with mineral aromas and soft spice.
Mouth Elegant with reminiscences of ripe cherry, black fruit, and soft toasted notes, with pleasant tannins, mineral touches and a long and enveloping finish.
