Los Prados , a 1.1 hectare vineyard planted before 1902 in Elvillar, at 540-560 meter above sea level. Tempranillo is the main grape, with some other varieties such as Garnacha, Graciano and Viura growing together. The whole block is picked and fermented together to obtain an honest expression of this unique site.

4.1 Tonnes/Ha; 23 Hl/ha
Hand harvested in small 10kg boxes to avoid crushing the fruit.
Cold maceration and fermentation in open-top tanks, with gentle punch down over 11 days.
Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
Intense and elegant aromas of blackberry fruit, with fresh plums, liquorice, blackcurrant and chalk, with fine spicy oak flavours and some minerality.
On the palate the wine shows good structure and freshness. The wine is taut, focused and serious, wit some reduction, fragant oak and spicy black fruit.
Impressive now, but with the harmony and concentration to age very well.
