Vineyard
A 1.3 hectares vineyard in Elvillar, planted in 1960. Located between 570 and 580 metres above sea level, E-W oriented, South-West exposure. Very poor and deep soil, together with its exposure to the west, gives a relatively short vegetative cycle, with low yields and high concentrated grapes.
Hardvest

The 2017 harvest was one of the warmest and driest.
A very warm spring and summer brought forward the vegetative cycle and harvest, with levels of quality and purity never seen before.
Grapes were hand-picked in small 10 kg boxes.
Pre-fermenting macerations and fermentation in open-wooden tanks, with gentle punch down over 11 days.
Maturation occurred in used 225 litre French oak barrels for 20 months
Colour Dark cherry red colour, high to mid-depth intensity.
Aromas Intense and complex, with hints of cassis, plum, black berries, chinese ink, liquorice, roasted coffee and spices.
Palate Tasty, full bodied and structured, with a touch of berries, black plum, blackberry, coffee beans and fine toasts. Great persistence wine and long-lasting finish full of nuances.
